Surface Planer – Martin T54

The Martin T54 surface planer is ideal for machining timber to the highest level of quality, accuracy, and reliability. The base of the thicknesser is made from steel with cast iron tables ensuring the structure is robust. The smooth-running fence with integrated auxiliary enables fast and exact jointing operations. The edging fence glides smoothly on guided ball bearings giving continuous accuracy. The operator can single-handedly set the fence to any angle between 90 and 45 degrees. The operating controls are accessible and conveniently positioned with the depth of cut being set by the motorised infeed table ensuring a maximum cut depth of 8 mm. A top-mounted control console which gives a digital readout of the cutting depth can also be adjusted via the control dial when ordered as an optional extra. Standard features include a two knife TERSA cutter block, Prisma type 1567 bridge guard and 5.5kw motor with soft start and braking device.
