Robust Construction

The Sedgwick PT255 Planer Thicknesser is engineered for precision, durability, and minimal maintenance. Its cast iron base, side frames, and fixed outfeed table ensure exceptional stability, securely housing the feed system, cutterblock bearings, and tables.

Advanced Cutterblock

Equipped with a large diameter three-knife TERSA cutterblock, the PT255 delivers superior finishes while reducing maintenance thanks to sealed-for-life bearings. Powered by an industrial motor and a heavy-duty vee belt, the cutterblock has ample power for demanding tasks.

Surface Planing

The cast iron infeed table features square gibs for long-term accuracy, with a built-in depth of cut rule. The cast iron fence, mounted on a durable bracket, adjusts easily between 90° and 45° for bevel work and chamfering, with a positive stop for quick realignment to 90°. Adjustable shaw guards are included for additional safety.

Thicknessing

Switching modes is seamless as the surfacing tables remain in place during thicknessing, utilizing a dual-function chip collection hood.

• Feed Rollers: One spiral-fluted and one rubber-coated, running in self-lubricating bushes and driven by a heavy-duty chain for consistent feeding of tough materials.
