The Sedgwick SM255t stands out with its backward tilting spindle, allowing safer operation by working from underneath the stock. This design removes size restrictions on stock and avoids obstruction to pressure guards or power feed, while efficiently directing wood chips to the exhaust outlet in the base.

True Vertical Rise and Fall

The unique ‘true vertical’ system enables vertical spindle adjustment independent of the tilting mechanism, maintaining the tool’s position relative to the fence when adjusted.

Robust Construction

A cast iron table with an anti-friction planed finish, mounted on a heavy-duty steel cabinet, provides excellent support and stability. Machined cast iron components and a belt-driven industrial motor with sealed-for-life bearings ensure durability and minimal maintenance.

Ease of Operation

The spindle’s rise, fall, and tilt are easily controlled with a crank handle and monitored via digital indicators. The adjustable horseshoe fence assembly features precision-ground plates and movement indicators. Spindle speed changes are quick and straightforward, with a viewing panel displaying pulley speeds.

Versatility

The removable spindle accommodates 30mm and 1¼” diameters, with optional router and tenoning spindles available for added flexibility.
