The Homag Transbot is a versatile automated guided vehicle (AGV) system connecting individual processing machines, automated cells, and even manual workstations logistically. There is no need for mechanical aids such as rails as the self-driving smart transport robots navigate freely through any space. Additionally, for example, if the implementation of updates within the production process, due to the addition of new machines— the Transbot travel paths in fleet management can be easily adapted to the new working conditions. Easy integration of these automated guided vehicles into an existing production facility means there is no need for the customer to make structural changes. The position of the machines or operating cells concerning one another only plays a secondary role from the perspective of the Transbot. Avoiding rigid interlinking of systems and processing machines, the Transbot requires less space when compared to alternative means of transport.
