Ease of Operation
The Sedgwick TESH is quick to set up and ensures precise operation. Workpieces are positioned on a rolling table against a depth stop and fence, secured with a cam action clamp, and passed through two horizontally mounted cutter heads. Adjustments are simple:
- Tenon width: Controlled by raising/lowering the top motor.
- Tenon position: Set by adjusting both motors in tandem.
- Shoulder length: Configured using a multi-position depth stop.
- Staggered tenons: Achieved via handwheel adjustment of the top motor.
Versatility
This machine handles a range of tenon types, including stepped, splayed, scribed, double tenons, and multiple bridles. It can also produce interleaved joints, ideal for sash window construction, using combinations of cutting discs and spacers.
Robust Construction
Designed for continuous use, the Sedgwick TE/TESH features a durable cast iron base, column, and slideways. The 2.2kW motors deliver ample power, while the cast iron sliding table, mounted on hardened steel rollers, ensures smooth operation and longevity. Cutterhead movements are easily maintained with adjustable dovetail slides.
